Print Materials

I love working with print materials! Print allows for so many innovative ideas, from unique cuts and folds to stunning pearlescent paper and Pantone inks, print will never be out of style. Making something of quality, that feels pleasant to hold and interact with, can bring a level of preciousness and connection that I think digital just can’t master.

Honda Investing In America

The initial idea for the brochure was to show Honda as part of a growing community in America. Previous brochures had focused more on the cars themselves and less on the vast network in the U.S. that helped supply parts for manufacturing, selling, and ultimately owning these cars. I wanted to show the Honda investment story as a neighborhood where everyone contributes. Every year the community remains but the focus shifts, the brochure for 2017 centered on connectivity and the future of cars and technology.

The 2015 brochure was also the first to be designed into a microsite that inspired the redesign of the entire Honda in America website, and who's concept was carried on for three years in various print and digital media.

DC Prep: The Power To Do More

DC Prep is a public charter school for underserved children in Washington, DC. To kickstart their new initiative to expand and raise $25M by 2020 they needed a campaign that went above and beyond their normal pull for donations. The Power To Do More campaign aimed to not only bring in new donors but to inspire repeat donors to give more and become brand ambassadors. This brochure, circle cut to mimic the The Power To Do More branding, featured images of students from DC Prep schools. This take-away was meant to serve as a precious reminder of what donations were going towards.

U.S. Naval Research Laboratory

The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory is a specialized laboratory for the U.S. Navy. In order to reintroduce themselves as one of the most established and sophisticated labs in the U.S., they needed a fresh look and corporate language. With simplicity and unity as a major driving force, I created a brochure to introducing this new logo and branding. I used a diagonal cut at the top to show off some of the labs stunning photography and reflect the faceted brand pattern that represented the broad range of interconnected work NRL does.
